What are good ways to get my foot in the door and become a model for fetish photography?

I’m interested in becoming a fetish model (i.e. corsets, D/s themes, etc.) Where would be a good place to start? How can I know if my ‘look’ is desirable for this trade? Where would be the best place to pursue this career?

Thanks!

Your best bet is do some TFP/TFCD (trade for print/trade for CD images) work with a photographer who’s looking to expand his/her portfolio. Try to find photographers who have done this type of photography before so they’d have more ideas on what types of photos they’d like to accomplish and see if that fits with the style you’re looking to get into.

Once you’ve worked with a few photographers on various shoots, you’ll have a small portfolio in which you can determine if this is a good fit for you.

The two best places to find such photographers and/or have photographers find you is ModelMayhem (www.modelmayhem.com) and OneModelPlace (www.onemodelplace.com). There are an abundance of photographers in every major metropolitan area on there and I’m confident you’ll find a few who you could coordinate this with. As a bonus, you can post your photos on those sites and have other photographers/models give you feedback on your ‘look’.

    Good luck!

You should have look on the web for "The house of Gord" they always have openings for models. I have a couple of friends who started out there. Both really enjoyed themselves.

So you want a job like that of Bernie Dexter and Frankie Sin? These girls are absolutely stunning and I bet you are too! It’s great that you are gutsy enough to be in the world of fetish modeling as it really requires lot of confidence and passion. You can try these links provided below as they are well-known agencies that cater for fetish or pin-up modes then check out their requirements and guidelines in applying in their agency.

Also, set up a photo shoot with a good photographer so you’ll have some photo collections to be added on your portfolio just in case modeling agencies ask for some samples (this one really helps). I have her links wherein girls wore corsets and looks in a way that fetish models should. Try to imitate their make up, hair and poses and for sure, you’ll soon be on your way in being a fetish model :)
